Hi, I’m Jack. I’m a senior at Michigan State University studying Advertising Management and currently serve as Director of Marketing at 42pointSEVEN, our student-run IMC agency. I started out as an account manager and moved into leadership, where I focus on turning insights into strategy and ideas into results. What I enjoy most is working with people—whether it’s collaborating on a campaign, producing a podcast, or directing a video shoot. No matter the project, I bring clarity, energy, and a genuine love for smart storytelling.
My Story
I didn’t grow up dreaming of a career in advertising. I was more focused on nature, and after spending summers landscaping the thought of pursuing an environmental science degree was increasingly intriguing. But after some time in the lab, I realized a career in that field wasn't for me. If I am being honest, I can talk an owl out of a tree, and being locked in solidarity just wasn't the right fit.
When I found advertising, it clicked. It wasn’t just the ideas, it was the people. The back-and-forth of a brainstorm, the pressure of a tight deadline, the thrill of building something that works. There’s a unique spark that happens when a team aligns on a strategy and brings it to life, and that’s what keeps me coming back.
At 42pointSEVEN, MSU’s student-run agency, I’ve had the opportunity to lead cross-functional teams, shape brand strategies, and manage client relationships that deliver real results. Whether it’s launching a multi-week campaign, developing messaging from scratch, or guiding creatives through execution, I bring a balance of leadership, strategic thinking, and collaborative energy to the table.
My path here wasn’t linear, but neither is this industry. And that’s exactly why I love it.
